Some words from the author of BoLeRio.comMy name is Tania. Born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I have been working with tourism since 1982 in Brazil and Israel. In 2003 I decided to move to Rio de Janeiro with my family. Believe it or not, but most tourists in Rio (65% according to official statistics) are Brazilians, mainly from the South-East of the country. In addition, the fact is that most Brazilians do not speak English or another foreign language. While looking for information about the city of Rio, I noticed that there is lack of web sites that provide an accurate information for English and Hebrew speaking tourists. (The name of this site BoLeRio means in Hebrew Come To Rio). One site is an exception: RIOTUR, by the City of Rio Tourism Authority: It has a lot of data, even though there is not enough information about locations that are not famous, but worth visiting. All tourists come to see the view from Corcovado and Sugar-Loaf. I believe that the best way to explore Rio is to visit also other spots - to observe and feel the way of life of the inhabitants of this city. So - here I am preparing a site that will also include my personal experience
and opinion about the city of Rio de Janeiro, and will also promote my other
activities: Private tours and apartment rentals in the city. Renting an apartment in Copacabana is a good alternative for
accommodation. If you compare the cost-benefit, you can find better apartments cheaper than many tourist class hotels. If you decide to come over, and would like to get a private tour or rent an apartment, please contact me. I will also appreciate getting comments / information that may be added to this site. |
